R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2024): Appeared in six games, finishing with six tackles as a reserve defensive lineman. Had two tackles in both the Stony Brook and the Southern Miss game. HERD FILE: Clayton comes to Marshall from Mississippi State where he did not appear in any action last season after redshirting in 2022. The Tupelo, Miss., native was a highly-touted recruit as a four-star defensive lineman before being switched to tight end prior to the 2023 season.
