Ben Voigtlaender

2024 (Redshirt Sophomore) Fall Big Sky All-Academic Team. Played in all 12 games. Recorded 14 total tackles on the season, and a tackle for loss. Had two tackles and a tackle for loss at Nevada. Had a career-high five tackles at Northern Arizona (11/23/24). 2023 (Redshirt Freshman) Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic Team. Played in 10 games. Made his first career tackle against North Dakota State (9/2/23). Had two tackles and a pass breakup vs Southeastern Louisiana (9/16/23). Had two games with three tackles. 2022 (Freshman) Played in three games on special teams, making his debut against Idaho (11/5/22). Redshirted. High School Graduated from Mead HS in 2020 and was a member of the February 2020 signing class. Named by the Seattle Times as a "White Chip" selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. Was a three-star recruit by 247 Sports. Earned First-Team 4A All-State honors from the Associated Press as a defensive lineman. Was a First-Team selection on the All-Greater Spokane League squad as a defensive lineman. Earned First-Team 4A All-State honors from the Associated Press as a defensive lineman in his junior season. Was the GSL Defensive Player of the Year in 2018. Coached in high school by Benji Sonnichsen. Also wrestled at Mead, earning All-GSL honors as a junior. Personal Born 2/7/02 in Spokane, Wash. Parents are Mark and Lara Voigtlaender. Served on a two-year mission before officially joining the Eagles.
