REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2025): Has totaled 9 tackles and 1 pass breakup so far this season... BEFORE IDAHO: Previously played two seasons for Portland State (2023-2024)... Played in seven games, started five... missed the final four games due to a shoulder injury... still ranked ninth on the team with 30 tackles... had a career-high eight stops and a pass breakup against Top-10 UC Davis (10/5/2024)... made seven tackles in the win at Idaho State (10/12/2024)... started and made four tackles and a pass breakup at Wyoming (9/9/2023), but was injured in the game and out for the year... able to take a redshirt season. HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior at South Salem High School, he caught 43 passes for 728 yards and 11 touchdowns, had 20 rushes for 227 yards and four touchdowns… defensively he recorded three interceptions and returned one for a touchdown… had 1,227 all-purpose yards and 16 total touchdowns… Wusstig competed for three seasons at Jefferson (OR) High School before transferring to South Salem… he was a three-time first-team All-Conference selection on both offense and defense… he also competed in basketball and baseball and had earned All-Conference honors in both sports. PERSONAL: Son of Gene and Angie Wusstig… has a brother, Evan, and a sister, Maddie… majoring in Business Administration… he enjoys riding dirt bikes, snowboarding, and helping out with youth football.
