Tylin Jackson

2024 (Sophomore) Fall Big Sky All-Academic Team. Played in all 12 games while starting 10 this season. Recorded 24 total tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack. Had a career-high five tackles including 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack at Southeastern Louisiana (9/14/24). Had four games with three or more tackles this season. 2023 (Freshman) Played in two games Made his collegiate debut vs. Idaho. Recorded his first career tackle vs Cal Poly, he had two tackles in the game (11/4/23). Best on Jackson: "Tylin is a multi-sport athlete. With his mix of length and athleticism, we look at him as a defensive end. Tylin has a high ceiling, and he will only get better from the time he walks onto campus. He is still learning parts of the game, but we are excited to see where his progression goes. He wants to win and learned how in high school." High School Listed as a three-star recruit by 247Sports. Played for head coach Marcus Yzaguirre at Federal Way High School. Didn't play football until his junior year of high school. Ranked 4th in the state in sacks in his 1st year. Also competed in basketball, which was his primary sport growing up. Personal Parents are Sonny Jackson and Naomi Brown. Originally from Georgia. Moved to Federal Way in 8th grade. At Eastern, Tylin wants to major in Finance with a career ambition to work in real estate. Former Eastern wider receiver Jayson Williams (2016-19) is a close family friend. Also has a family connection to Jaden McDaniels, Juwan Howard, Jalen McDaniels, Darwin Jones, and Mandrell Worthy.
