FRESHMAN Appeared in two games for the Wildcats. SHERWOOD HIGH SCHOOL All-Pacific Conference Honorable Mention as a senior. Helped lead Sherwood to three consecutive undefeated regular seasons and conference championships from 2021-23, was named OSAA 6A “Team of the Month” for October 2023. Started all 12 games for a Sherwood Football defense that totaled eight shutouts during the 2023 season, including seven consecutive. Three-time letter winner in football, also competed in track & field as a thrower, as well as basketball, lacrosse and wrestling. 2023-24 OSAA Scholar Athlete. Sherwood High School Academic letter winner. National Honor Society member. PERSONAL INFORMATION Majoring in exercise science. Son of Becky and Gary Kieser. WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I felt it was the best place for me to continue my academic and athletic career. Once I learned more about the strong culture and community at Linfield, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE MEAN TO YOU? Being a student-athlete means being a part of something that is bigger than myself and working together to achieve a common goal. HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Participating in sports has taught me work ethic, accountability, perseverance, and many other important skills that I can apply to the rest of my life. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? I see myself earning a degree in exercise science and becoming a successful physical therapist. WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY? The best class I have taken so far at Linfield was Black & White Photography. I took this class during January term, and had a lot of fun learning new skills and techniques to become a better photographer. I recommend everyone to take the class. WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? The greatest inspirations in my life are my parents. They are very supportive to me and set a great example everyday of how to be a good person. THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... The greatest lesson I have learned while competing in athletics at Linfield is time management. Being a student athlete can be very challenging at times, but as I developed better time management skills, it has helped me stay on top of my classes while also being able to succeed on the field at the same time. AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... Individually my goal is to get a little bit better every single day while being able to contribute to my team in a positive way to help us reach our goals of being the best in the country.
