High School Stai graduated from Jackson County Central High School in Jackson, Minnesota, where he competed in football, wrestling, and baseball for the Huskies. He was named the 2024 AA Football Player of the Year in Minnesota and the 2024 District Linebacker of the Year. His senior football season included 151 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 1,525 rushing yards on 192 carries with 25 touchdowns.
