Coney played in and started all 12 games at linebacker for the Blue and Gold during the 2024 season. He led all Buccaneer defenders with 97 tackles and 12 tackles for loss in 2024. The Fairfield, Ohio native also registered five sacks, broke up six passes, forced two fumbles and added a quarterback hurry. His best game of the season came against Western Carolina where he totaled a season-high 17 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Also registered double-digit tackle totals against Furman (12) and Mercer (10). Coney played in all 11 games for ETSU as a freshman in 2023. Finished the season with 47 tackles, two quarterback hurries one sack, and one pass breakup. Recorded a season-high seven total tackles in a victory over Carson-Newman in early September. Tallied multiple tackles in all 11 games. HIGH SCHOOL Multi-sport athlete at Fairfield High School. Lettered in football and basketball. Named team Defensive Player of the Year. Earned second team south Ohio district honors. First team Greater Miami Conference selection and second team all-city. Recorded 52 tackles in his junior season.
