2024 (Sophomore): Appeared in five games at tight end. Made his first career catch, an eight-yarder, in UH’s road win at Fresno State. 2023: Did not appear in any games. Prior To UH Attended the University of Colorado for one year and redshirted. Prep A 2022 graduate of Tafuna High School in American Samoa. A consensus three-star prospect. Listed as the No. 1 player from American Samoa by 247Sports and ESPN. Also ranked him as the No. 29 dual threat quarterback in the class by ESPN. Ranked in the top 10 at an Elite 11 regional camp in Los Angeles in June 2021 Led Tafuna to a perfect 20-0 mark as both a junior and senior while playing at quarterback and in the secondary. Helped the team win back-to-back American Samoa High School Athletic Association Championships both seasons. In the ASHSAA championship game, he had over 200 yards rushing with two touchdowns, seven tackles on defense, blocked a field goal and served as the kickoff specialist. Named the American Samoa Athlete of the Year as a senior. At two-time ASHSAA MVP. A four-time JPS All-Star and first-team all-league selection. Named a MaxPreps Freshman All-American. Competed in the 2022 Polynesian Bowl. Also played basketball and baseball at Tafuna. Personal Born in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Has two older siblings. Majoring in communications. Father Okland played football for Colorado and was a starting defensive tackle on the 1989 Big Eight champion team that finished the regular season undefeated. Uncle Joe Salave’a, played at the University of Arizona and played eight seasons in the NFL for Tennessee, Washington and San Diego. Brother Filoisamoa played college football at Austin Peay.
