LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL Two-time First Team All-Pacific Conference selection at offensive tackle, additional First Team honors at defensive line as a senior. All-Conference Honorable Mention at defensive line as a sophomore. 2023 Pacific Conference Defensive Lineman of the Year. Two-time Honorable Mention All-State 6A at offensive tackle, additional Honorable Mention at defensive line as a senior. Two-time Les Schwab Bowl Oregon All Star Game participant. Placed seventh in javelin at Pacific Conference Track & Field Championships as a junior. First team All-Conference defenseman in lacrosse as a senior. Three-time letter winner in football, two-time letter winner in track & field, letter winner in lacrosse. Scholar Athlete. Graduated with honors. President’s Education Award recipient. PERSONAL INFORMATION Majoring in laws, rights, and justice. Son of Rebecca and Eric Mahlum. WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD? I felt that Linfield was the right fit for me. I enjoyed the time that I have spent with the football coaches and players. I like the strive for excellence and hard work that is present here. I have also heard great things and enjoy the campus. WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? Being a Student-Athlete at Linfield to me means, working hard and excelling in the classroom and on the field as well as leading by example. HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Participating in sports, has made me realize the impact that community and teamwork have, as well as guidance. They have helped me grow as a person. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? Somewhere cool. WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY? The best class I have taken at Linfield was my political science class, International Politics with Pat Cottrell. The professor made the class enjoyable and pushed us to connect different fields of ideas in our studies WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? The greatest inspiration in my life has been my dad, who's always been there for me and showed what it means to be a father. THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... The greatest principle that I have learned at Linfield is to be uncommon in all that you do.
