Career Awards GLIAC Freshman of the Year (2024) All-GLIAC Honorable Mention (2024) 2024 McKenzie completed his first full season as the SVSU signal caller as the team's rush and pass leader. He completed 147-of-267 pass attempts for 2,054 yards and 14 touchdowns, along with 117 carries and 662 yards with six scores on the ground for a total output of 2,716 yards and 20 touchdowns. McKenzie compiled over 200 passing yards four times during the season (at Northwood, at #15 UIndy, at Roosevelt, Michigan Tech) and set a career-high of 268 yards in the season finale against the Huskies. The Canton, Michigan, native threw for three touchdowns twice (at Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech) and two or more touchdown passes four times (at Winona State, at #15 UIndy, at Northern Michigan, Michigan Tech). McKenzie rushed for over 100 yards twice in the season--the first came in the season-opener at Winona State, with the second happening against Truman State in week three. He set a career-high mark of 137 rushing yards in the week three win over the Bulldogs. 2023 He appeared in three games for the Cardinals during his true freshman season, making his collegiate debut in the win over St. Xavier. He recorded his first career start in his hometown of Caledonia, Michigan, against Davenport in week nine of the season, where he finished that game completing 22-of-31 passes for 156 yards and a rushing touchdown, a 43-yard run in the second quarter.
