Luther Mccoy
Prior To UH Spent four seasons at the University of Minnesota. Redshirted his freshman year before appearing in nine games over the next three years. Saw his most significant time during his sophomore campaign when he played in six games, primarily on special teams. A three-time academic all-Big Ten honoree. Also earned the Distinguished Scholar Award Prep A 2021 graduate of Creekside High School in St. Johns, Fla. A consensus three-star recruit. Ranked as the No. 60 defensive tackle in the nation according to 247Sports. Recorded a combined 69 tackles and 5.5 sacks during his junior and senior seasons. Also competed in basketball and track. Personal Born in Jacksonville, Fla. Graduated from Minnesota with a degree in business/marketing. Has one brother and one sister. Brother, Matthew, plays football at Miami (Fla). Parents are Luther and Robrina McCoy of Jacksonville, Fla.
