2025 Season Played in the first 11 games of the season. Began the year as an offensive lineman before transitioning to tight end prior to the first game. Primarily played on special teams and as a blocking tight end. Did not record any statistics. 2024 Season Redshirted during the season. Did not appear in a game. High School A 2024 graduate of Newport HS in Bellevue, Wash. A two-star recruit by 247Sports. Played three years of varsity football on the offensive and defensive lines. Named first team all-King County and was the KingCo 3A Lineman of the Year as a junior and senior. Recorded 38 tackles on defense during his career. Highest total came during his junior season where he had 30 stops, including five for loss. Also competed in track and field where he was the District 4A champion in the shot put with a mark of 56-05.00 as a senior. Finished in second place at the state meet as a senior and sixth place as a junior. Personal Plans to major in kinesiology. Parents are John and Melissa Slater. Dad played football at Western Washington. Brother, Jackson, in an all-conference guard for the Hornets.
