High School: Originally from Spartanburg, S.C. where he played at Boiling Springs High School under Head Coach Matthew Reel and position coach Kamal Desor ... Ended his senior year with 900 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns and had his junior year with 500 yards and six touchdowns ... One of the top games of his career came against Greer High School when he collected 176 receiving yards and scored four touchdowns ... He was named to the All-Region Team after his junior season and earned a spot on the All-State squad as a senior ... During his senior year, he helped lead Boiling Springs HS to a 32-0 victory over Dorman with him having a 100+ receiving game to go with two touchdowns ... Also was a member of the baseball team where he earned All-Region accolades as a junior ... Had an 11-game touchdown streak between his junior and senior campaigns and served as the punter during his final season there ... Grandfather played football at Carson-Newman and great uncle played basketball at Bob Jones University ... Also had offers from Wingate, Limestone, North Greenville and Mars Hill.
