He recorded seven total tackles, providing depth to the linebacker room. He was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team as a linebacker. HS/Misc.: Hayward prepped at Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Fla. He was ranked as a three-star recruit by 247Sports and On3.
