The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "A big, physical and fast defensive player who is a hybrid strong safety/linebacker. Kayin is one of the more versatile guys in this recruiting class. He can play running back, wide receiver, defensive back and linebacker very similar to Myles Jack who did all four at UCLA. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him play all four in his PSU career." BEFORE PORTLAND STATE Lettered in football at Newbury Park High School... as a senior, he made 50 tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, two pass breakups and a forced fumble... had 654 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns on offense.... named first team All-Coast on defense and first team All-County as a wide receiver... team won two CIF Championships.
