HERD FILE: Evans comes to Marshall from Charlotte where he appeared in 12 games and registered eight tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery which he returned 22 yards for a touchdown against Florida Atlantic. Prior to going to Charlotte in 2023, Evans spent two seasons at Jackson State, registering 14 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks as a freshman in 2021. Evans was a consensus four-star prospect out of St. Frances H.S. in Maryland. Was ranked as the No. 4 player in Maryland and the No. 10 defensive tackle nationally for the Class of 2021
