Prior To UH Played two seasons at the University of Utah. Appeared in 11 career games, primarily on special teams. Part of 2023 squad that competed in the Las Vegas Bowl Prep A 2022 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Honolulu. A three-star recruit and rated the No. 2 player in Hawaii by 247Sports. Tallied 40.5 tackles (25.0 TFL) with 13.0 sacks and two forced fumbles as a senior in 2021. Recorded a career-high 5.0 sacks against Waipahu in Roosevelt’s 2021 season finale. Recorded 23.5 sacks in 13 games as a sophomore in 2019. Earned OIA and ScoringLive All-Hawaii Division I Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior Participated in the 2022 Polynesian Bowl. High school teammate of current Rainbow Warriors Jackie Johnson III. Personal Born in Honolulu. Majoring in interdisciplinary studies. Has three brothers and three sisters Older brother Bubba played baseball at UH. Parents are Kip and Darlani Akana of Honolulu, O‘ahu.
