Background
2024: Appeared in four games for the Hoyas. Recorded 12 rush attempts for 33 yards and four receptions for 23 yards. On special teams, tallied two kick returns for 24 yards. Prior to Georgetown: Sumpter attended Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The running back was a starter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Sumpter was named First-Team All-Catholic (2021), Second-Team All-Catholic (2022, 2023) and won the Outstanding Back Award (2022, 2023). In 2023, Sumpter received the Kevin Kirk Award which awards the best new student with the biggest impact in the community. In addition to football, Sumpter ran track at Chestnut Hill.
