2024: Started three games while appearing in the first six games of the season…finished the year with 13 tackles and one pass breakup…twice recorded four tackles in a game, in wins over Louisiana Christian (9/14) and at Indiana State (9/28)…registered three tackles at UTSA (9/21)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll. 2023: King made six appearances during his redshirt freshman campaign, including a start at Southeastern (9/23)…twice recorded a career-high five tackles in consecutive games, at UT Martin (9/16) and then again at SLU…finished the season with 18 tackles…made four tackles against both Lamar (9/30) and UIW (11/18)…was credited with four pass breakups, including two against Lamar…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll. 2022: King appeared in three games as a freshman…made two tackles in the season finale at Tarleton (11/19)…had one tackle in each of his other two games, vs. Northwestern State (10/15) and McNeese (11/12). High School: King was a three-year letterwinner at Booker T. Washington High School for coach Jonathan Brown…was the 21st ranked defensive back in Oklahoma according to MaxPreps…as a senior, recorded 30 tackles, 10 pass breakups and three interceptions to earn all-district honors…as a junior, made 25 tackles with seven pass breakups to earn all-district and all-state honors…made four interceptions in one game to break the state record.
