Jackson Carpenter

Honors & Awards » Two-Time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll » Tom Osborne Citizenship Team (2025) 2025 (Redshirt) Jackson Carpenter has played in two games in 2025 while utilizing his redshirt season. He saw action at wide receiver against Akron and Houston Christian. Before Nebraska (Lincoln Southwest HS) A second-generation Cornhusker, Carpenter had an excellent prep career as a multi-sport athlete at Lincoln Southwest High School. Carpenter was limited because of injury during his senior season, but in just six games he caught 14 passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns, averaging nearly 15 yards per catch. As a junior, Carpenter was a big-play threat in the Silverhawk offense, catching 28 passes for 514 yards and seven touchdowns. Carpenter saw his first significant varsity action as a sophomore, helping Southwest to an 8-3 record and a Class A state quarterfinal appearance. He caught 14 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns, averaging better than 23 yards per catch. Carpenter is also a two-year letterwinner in both basketball and track at Lincoln Southwest. On the track, he set the school record in the 100 meters during his junior season, clocking a time of 10.68. Carpenter was ranked as one of the top five players in the state by 247 and ESPN, and he was listed among the top 35 receivers in the country by ESPN. Personal Jackson is the son of Tim and Amy Carpenter. Jackson is a business administration major. His father, Tim, played tight end at Nebraska from 1993 to 1997 and was part of three national championship teams as a Husker.
