Get to Know Hunter ... At what age did you start playing football and how did you get into football? I started tackle football in sixth grade and I got into it because my dad has been a coach my whole life so I have been around it growing up. Who is your biggest role model? My father, because he has been through a ton of adversity and has always been there for me. Who was your favorite player growing up and who do you model your game after? Odell Beckham Jr. was my favorite player and I'd say I model my game after Julian Edelman. Tell us about your hometown/where you're from? I'm from Austin, Texas, the most beautiful place in Texas. How would you describe your game to someone who hasn't seen you play? I would say I am a smaller, shifty slot receiver. 2024: Did not see any game action. 2023: Did not see any game action. High School: Played at Westlake High School under head coach Tony Salazar … As a junior, helped Westlake to the 2021 6A State Championship … Played in four games in 2022 due to injury … Westlake finished 14-1 in 2022, falling in the state semi-final round which concluded a 54 game winning streak … Was a two-time Region 4 finalist in the 300m hurdles and was on the 2023 state finalist 4×100 meter relay team at Westlake … Teammate, Keaton Kubecka, also signed to KU.
