2024 – Freshman • Redshirt season • Saw his first collegiate action vs. Murray State High School • A three-star recruit by all the major recruiting services • Rated the top prospect in the 2024 class in Kentucky by 247Sports composite rankings • Four-year starter at guard and right tackle for head coach Scott Parkey • First-team all-state as a senior as selected by the Louisville Courier-Journal • Also first-team all-district • Helped lead the Cardinals to a 9-3 overall record • Advanced to the second round of the Class 4A playoffs • Named a third-team all-state selection as a junior after helping lead Taylor County to a 6-5 record and a top-15 ranking among then-Class 3A schools in scoring (31.7 points per game) and rushing yards (2,873 for 261.2 per game) • Also a two-year letter winner on the fishing team • Chose Kentucky over Michigan State, Baylor, Tennessee and Louisville Personal • Born in Campbellsville, Kentucky • Son of Paul and Stephanie Johnson • Has two younger sisters, Harper and Hadley • Mom, Stephanie, was a collegiate cheerleader at Campbellsville University from 1995-97 • Major is agriculture education and advocacy Hayes Says • He chose Kentucky because he grew up a Kentucky fan • One thing most people don’t know about him is that he loves to play golf • Three words to describe him are competitive, an outdoorsman and funny • His dream job is anything outdoors • Other than playing sports, he’s also really good at hunting
