Eric Gibson

2025: Started 11 of 12 games at quarterback and authored one of the most accomplished passing seasons in Northern Colorado’s Division I history…Led the Bears to the best Division I win in program history with a 49-33 road victory at No. 13/11 Idaho, throwing for 397 yards, the ninth-most passing yards in a single game in UNC history… Gibson finished the season with 2,533 passing yards, ranking 10th in single-season passing yards in program history, while his 357 passing attempts ranked seventh all-time and his 233 completions ranked third…Posted a .653 completion percentage, the second-best single-season mark in program history, and totaled 11 passing touchdowns… Added 29 rushing yards on the ground and consistently piloted one of the most productive offenses of the Division I era, delivering efficiency, volume, and poise throughout the season… Personal: Son of Charity Gibson, a former Grambling State softball player, and Eric Gibson Sr., who played football at Louisiana Tech. Has one sibling, Heavyn (24). Attended Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he won a state championship in football—the first for the school in 80 years. Played at LSU (2021–2022) and Monterey Peninsula College (2023–2024), earning All-Conference honors as a quarterback. Enjoys spending time at the range, hiking, and reading. Chose UNC for the opportunity to compete and is pursuing a degree in psychology with career goals in security defense contracting.
