Second Team All-Big Sky (2025) 2025 Season Named second team all-Big Sky. Played in all 12 games, starting 11, during his first season with the program. Led the team with 13.0 TFLs and eight sacks. Finished the season with 39 total tackles, including 24 solos. Was credited with at least one tackle in 11 games and had three or more in seven games. Set his season high with nine tackles at Portland State and had seven against Cal Poly. Recorded 3.5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks against Central Arkansas and at Portland State. Recorded four QB hurries during the season. Forced a fumble at Portland State. Prior to Sacramento State Spent two seasons at San Jose State. Appeared in all 13 games in 2024 for the Spartans. Credited with 19 tackles, including 4.5 for tackles-for-loss and one sack. Made his debut against the Hornets where he had three stops, a sack, two TFLs and forced a fumble. Had a season high four tackles against Kennesaw State and added three against Wyoming. Tallied one tackle in The Hawai’I Bowl against South Florida. Redshirted in 2023. High School Played final season at Oaks Christian HS. Also played at Saugus HS. Named Foothill Defensive Player of the Year (2022). Had 31 tackles with four sacks his senior year. Once had four sacks in the same game. Finished high school career with 102 tackles and 18.5 sacks. Also had 26 tackles for loss during his high school career. Personal Son of Jeff and Lisa Hampsten. Has three brothers named Tyler, Ryan and Brayden who all played football.
