Connor Ackerley

Ackerley is a freshman with the Mustangs who attended Corona Del Sol High School. At Corona Del Sol, Ackerley participated in football and baseball, where he was nominated for the Ed Doherty award. Ackerley was born on May 20, 2006, and in his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball and video games. Ackerley holds the school record for the most touchdown passes in a game and the most touchdown passes by any player at any NCAA division this season. This includes 34 of 57 for 529 passing yards, with 7 touchdown passes. A 7 touchdown pass is the most in LSC since 2013, and 529 yards in a game is the 3rd best in history. 2024 highlights Ackerley appeared in four games during the 2024 season, throwing for 621 yards and six touchdowns. He carried out 25 completions on 45 passes and 4 interceptions. His most productive performance was on November 16, 2024, at Midwestern State, passing for 254 yards and three touchdowns while completing 25 passes. The quarterback emerged as one of the Mustangs’ most productive offensive players during the 2024 season, finishing with 39 receptions for 570 yards and seven touchdowns. His most dominant performance came on November 9, 2024, against Texas A&M–Kingsville, where he recorded 182 receiving yards and two touchdowns, highlighted by a season-long 52-yard reception. Earlier in the season, he showcased elite red-zone efficiency with four receiving touchdowns against Eastern New Mexico on October 26, further cementing his role as a primary scoring threat in the Mustang offense.
