Gooden was named the "Alpha Dog" at the Under Armour Next Camp in Nashville in April of 2024. During his junior year, he played for NFL Hall of Famer Kevin Mawae and was named to the 2023 Preseason MaxPreps Junior All-American team. In his first two seasons, he played under Super Bowl-winning quarterback Trent Dilfer and helped lead them to consecutive state titles in 2021 and 2022. After winning his second state title in 2022, Gooden was named to the 2022 MaxPreps Sophomore All-American Team. PERSONAL Gooden is the son of Tim and Jae Gooden and has one younger sister Maliyah.
