Ben Lavelle

2024 (R-Freshman) • Did not see any action in 2024 because he was BEATING CANCER • Lavelle was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the beginning of camp • He was in uniform for one game and then returned home while undergoing treatment • Lavelle remained in school remotely during the fall semester, and after "ringing the bell" returned to the team for spring practice • He is using the story of his journey to raise awareness about testicular cancer, the most common form of cancer in young males • Earned Student-Athlete Unsung Hero Award at annual RUDY Awards ceremony 2023 (Freshman) • Redshirted the 2023 season Prior to UD: High School Three-time varsity letterwinner The Eagles were back-to-back state champions (2021,2022) Named First-Team All-District, First-Team All-Area, and First-Team All-Ohio Had 58 punts with an average of 38.2 yards per punt with a long of 69 Was 72-of-75 on extra points, 132 kickoffs with 42 touchbacks, and four career field goals with a long of 46 yards Personal: Son of Brian and Julie Lavelle Has one sibling named Will Majoring in Business Economics
