CAREER NOTES: First year at Tulsa … Transferred to Tulsa after spending his first year at ETSU with head coach Tre Lamb … Has appeared in two career games and has 18 completions for 181 yards. PRIOR TO TULSA: Spent one year at ETSU where he appeared in two games and was 18-for-30 for 181 yards. Hayes appeared in two games as a true freshman in 2024 for ETSU. Made his debut on November 16 vs. Furman and in his first collegiate game, Hayes completed three of five passes for 42 yards. Hayes would get the starting nod in the regular season finale at VMI on November 23. He became the first true freshman to start for the Bucs under center since 1993. In his first start, Hayes led the Bucs to a 16-9 win over the Keydets where he completed 15 of his 25 pass attempts for 119 yards. HIGH SCHOOL Played for Clint Finch at Brentwood High School. Named 6-6A Player of the Year. Named first team 6-6A. Led Brentwood to the region championship. Threw for over 2,100 yards and 30 total touchdowns in his senior season. PERSONAL Sister Kai plays soccer at Baylor University.
