2024 (Freshman) Redshirted. Prep A 2024 graduate of Punahou School in Honolulu. A three-star prospect and the No. 3 linebacker in Hawai‘i according to the 247 Composite rankings. Ranked No. 13 overall in the state and No. 188 among linebackers nationally by On3. A consensus three-star prospect. A three-time all-state and all-league selection. Selected to play in the 2024 Polynesian Bowl. Finished 2023 with 62 tackles, three TFLs and two sacks. Recorded an interception, three fumble recoveries, and scored two touchdowns. Made a whopping 25 tackles to go along with two fumble recoveries and two touchdowns vs. Centennial. First-team All-Hawai‘i selection by ScoringLive during both junior and senior seasons. Helped lead Punahou to an Open Division state championship appearance in 2022. A first-team All-ILH selection after making 43 tackles to go along with five TFLs and 2.5 sacks as a junior. Also recovered a pair of fumbles, returning one for a TD. Earned honorable mention All-Hawai’i recognition from ScoringLive and first-team All-ILH honors as a sophomore. Recorded 27 tackles with five TFLs and three sacks while coming away with an interception and a forced fumble. Personal Born in Waima¯nalo, O‘ahu. Majoring in business. Has two older brothers. Brother Ho‘oikaika Cavaco-Amoy is a former Rainbow Warrior defensive lineman (2009-13). Parents are Thomas Cavaco of Waimanalo, O‘ahu and Jana Amoy of Honolulu.
