High School where he competed in football and rugby ... #1 Punter in Connecticut ... All-State ... All-FCIAC. What does leadership mean to you? Leadership to me is when someone takes charge. It doesn't matter if it's on or off the field. I see a leader as a person who steps up when others won't, and leads by an example. I also think leading by an example instead of just communicating it is a good value for a leader. What experience—big or small—has made a surprising impact on you? Moving to United States had a big impact on my life. I think it taught me to be independent and hard-working. Navigating school and learning a new language was especially hard. What’s a failure or setback that taught you something valuable? I set a goal for myself before every season. For my upcoming senior season, I wanted to be the #1 ranked punter in Connecticut and top-100 in the nation. Fortunately, I achieved my goal of being number one in my state, but unfortunately, I did not finish top-100. I don't think it was a setback, but it has taught me the importance of working hard and setting high expectations and surpassing them. What’s a value or principle you try to live by? I try to live by giving 100% in everything. Let it be a form I have to fill out or in the gym on every, single rep. I think this is really important because it pushes you to go past your comfort zone. What’s something about you that might surprise people? I am from Georgia the country, not the state. I was born and raised in Georgia, and moved to the United States at the age of ten. I also speak Georgian fluently.
