2024 SEASON (FRESHMAN) Redshirt season … did not see any game action as a true freshman … scout team member. HIGH SCHOOL Attended Albany High School located approximately 35 miles northeast of Abilene, Texas … played for one of the top Class 2A programs in Texas after helping lead Albany to back-to-back state championships … two-way player throughout his high school career as both Albany’s running back and top linebacker. Earned Offensive MVP honors in the state title game as a senior after carrying 24 times for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns … added two tackles, including a sack, on the other side of the ball. Finished with 2,641 rushing yards and 51 touchdowns his senior year alone, while adding a team-leading 16.5 sacks and more than 90 tackles defensively … previously totaled 102 rushing yards and a touchdown in Albany’s 2022 state championship victory, while also catching three passes for 71 yards … notched four tackles as well, including a shared stop behind the line of scrimmage, to push Albany to its first state title since 1961. Named the District 6-2A MVP following his junior season … was also a first team All-State honoree by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) as a defensive lineman … Member of the school’s basketball and track and field programs … was the Class 2A state champion in the 300-meter hurdles both his senior and junior seasons ... set a personal record in the 300-meter hurdles state title race clocking a 38.05 … won the race in 38.75 seconds his junior season ... took silver as a senior in the state meet in the shot put with a 53’-0.25” toss … also qualified for the state meet in the 110-meter hurdles his junior and sophomore seasons, finishing as the state runner-up both times ... logged a 14.36-second personal record as a junior.
